About The Camden County Historical Society
Our Mission & History
Founded in 1899, the Camden County Historical Society (CCHS) is a public, non-profit organization dedicated to the collection, preservation, study, interpretation, and cultural enrichment of life in Camden County and Southern New Jersey.
CCHS has occupied Pomona Hall since 1924 and the Charles S. Boyer building, which includes the Hineline Research Library and auditorium as well as the Camden County Museum, since 1967.
Our Vision
- Educational experiences that students from elementary to graduate school can use to enrich their present and empower their future.
- Reflection of demographic transformation so that the Camden County Historical Society, our programs and exhibits are representative of Camden County.
- Participatory & collaborative experiences that connect communities, histories, memories, arts and culture.
